The Breathing Pilates (27 Jun, 10am-11.45am)
Approach Pilates mat work the mindful way, let it help you to improve your posture, core support, balanced muscle development and relaxed mind. We practice Pilates to attain inner core strength, flexibility and stay injury-free.
Carol has been teaching Pilates mat work for 20 over years and she will be guiding you in this Pilates format where she had developed over the years that help many people to improve their postures and relieve chronic pains. Participant will receive a PDF file on the 5 basic principles of Pilates when joining this workshop.
Pre-requisite:
– This workshop is suitable for people who may feel mild nagging pains in their bodies, especially lower back or neck. Not recommended for anyone suffering acute pains and also pregnant ladies.
– Ensure that you are healthy and have no recent injury to enjoy this workshop at home.
– Please consult your doctor for suitability if you have any of the above conditions.

About the Trainer:
Carol Cheong, Founder of Ompulence
Carol believes in teaching with an open heart and mind so that students can feel supported in their practices, regardless of their learning levels.
She teaches classical yoga in the tradition of Sivananda yoga which focuses on physical and mental health. She has been teaching movements for 20 years and has been interviewed recently by CNA 938 and Singapore Science Centre’s blog writer.
Carol embraces the yoga practice with a focus on balancing qi (vital life force energy) and living a healthy lifestyle which goes beyond the mat. She continues to share in her workshops and courses that Yoga is for everyone and practise yoga holistically, from proper exercise to meditation.
– Certified in Advanced Teachers’ Training Course by The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre (India)
– Part- Time lecturer for undergraduates where she conducts elective course on Hatha Yoga and Pilates Matwork
To be prepared by participants:
• Yoga mat or Pilates mat of min. 8mm in thickness
• Yoga block or Pilates ball (optional)
• Firm cushion for sitting
• Stretch band or towel (for participants have tight hamstrings and back)
Fee:
